Characteristics of polyester filament

The strength of polyester filament: The strength of polyester fiber is nearly twice that of cotton and three times that of wool, so the polyester fabric is strong and durable.

Heat resistance of polyester filament: It can be used at -70℃~170℃, which is the best in heat resistance and thermal stability among synthetic fibers.

The elasticity of polyester filament: The elasticity of polyester is close to that of wool, and its wrinkle resistance is higher than that of other fibers. The fabric is not wrinkled and has good shape retention.
The abrasion resistance of polyester filament: The abrasion resistance of polyester is second only to nylon, and ranks second among synthetic fibers.

Water absorption of polyester filament: Polyester has low water absorption and moisture regain and good insulation performance. However, due to low water absorption, high static electricity generated by friction, and poor natural absorption of dyes, polyester is generally dyed with high temperature and high pressure dyeing.

Dyeability of polyester filament: polyester itself lacks hydrophilic groups or dye acceptor parts, so polyester has poor dyeability and can be dyed with disperse dyes or non-ionic dyes, but the dyeing conditions are relatively harsh.
